HOT PROPERTY: “More movie people live in Orange County than you might think,” says Los Angeles playwright Mark Lee, who this week took first prize in South Coast Repertory’s California Play Competition. . . . When word of his award was reported Wednesday, “My agent got half a dozen calls” from producer types here, Lee said. . . . All wanted more details about his winning play, “Pirates,” which involves a fantasy about swashbuckling female buccaneers who actually sailed the Caribbean during the 18th Century.
