Thrift Sues Over Building: Long Beach Savings & Loan filed suit in Superior Court on Wednesday attempting to free itself from a lease for a new headquarters building that the thrift claims is structurally unsafe. The suit said Long Beach Savings signed a 10-year lease in February, 1988, with Mutual Life, owner of 100 Oceangate Blvd., a Long Beach high-rise office building. (Filed Feb. 7, 1990, Case No. C751546)
