HemaCare Says Profit Doubled in 4th Quarter

HemaCare, a Sherman Oaks provider of blood-related services, said its fourth-quarter profit doubled from a year earlier on 43% increase in revenue.
In the quarter that ended Dec. 31, HemaCare’s net income climbed to $137,000 from $68,741 a year earlier, while its revenue rose to $1.6 million from $1.12 million.
For all of 1989, HemaCare’s profit rose 10%, to $470,000 from $428,016 the previous year, and its annual revenue was up 30%, to $5.78 million from $4.46 million.
