11 Teachers Recognized by Reading Council

The East San Gabriel Valley Reading Council has named 11 “Outstanding Teachers of Reading” from 10 unified school districts in the East Valley.
The teachers, who have grades kindergarten through eighth, were recognized for the creative strategies they use in their classrooms.
The teachers, listed with the names of their school districts, are: Sandra Franks, Azusa; Jan Allen, Bassett; Linda Lue, Baldwin Park; Joan Weil, Charter Oak; Grace Logan, Covina; Ruth Fagerstrom, Glendora; Dale Schafer and Dayle Stenberg , Hacienda La Puente; Fern Sheldon, Rowland; Carole Asato, Walnut Valley, and Jeannette Brainard, West Covina.
