Man Killed on I-805

A Bonita man was killed Monday afternoon when he drove into an abandoned car parked beside Interstate 805, California Highway Patrol officers said.
The 63-year-old man, whose name was not disclosed, was driving his car north on the shoulder of the freeway, near Main Street in San Ysidro, when he struck a parked, abandoned car, officers said.
The man was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officers said.
