DCC Compact Classics Inc., a Northridge company that produces and markets compact discs, said it plans to acquire all the outstanding shares of AVM Ltd., a private European entertainment company, in a stock swap worth about $3 million. DCC, which changed its name last year from Dunhill Compact Classics, said AVM has interests in music, motion pictures and home video.
DCC President Marshall Blonstein said the acquisition of AVM would give DCC a base for expanding its worldwide music business and for moving into other areas of the entertainment industry.
