Thatcher Tosses Perfect Softball Game

Melissa Thatcher pitched a perfect game to lead host Agoura (8-4, 2-0) to a 6-0 Frontier League softball victory over Santa Clara on Friday. Thatcher (8-4), the Southern Section 1-A Division Most Valuable Player last season, struck out 14 and allowed only one ball to be hit out of the infield in her second no-hitter of the season.
The junior has five no-hitters in her Agoura career.
Jill Hartwig and Rachel Clarke had two hits each to pace Agoura’s nine-hit attack.
