Leftist Rebels Assault Colombian Town, Kill 6

BOGOTA, Colombia — Leftist guerrillas attacked a small town in northern Colombia and killed six police officers, bringing the number of police killed in April by rebels or drug traffickers to at least 31.
Police said Tuesday that the guerrillas from the National Liberation Army also destroyed a police station and cut communications in the assault Monday on San Calixto, 180 miles north of Bogota.
