Cowabunga, dude . . . “Surfers, the Movie” has arrived and will show at 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday at the Ventura Theatre, 26 S. Chestnut St., Ventura.
Filmmaker and Ventura resident Bill Delaney has meshed surfing footage and interviews with some of the world’s best surfers. The documentary does not include standard narration but instead lets commentary from the film’s subjects explain the surfing culture.
Currently on a swing through California, the film will be shown nationally and in Japan.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the Ventura Surf Shop, 858 Front St., and at the Ventura Theatre.
