Phillips Announces Plans for Texas Plant

PASADENA, Tex. — Phillips Petroleum Co. has announced that a polyethylene plant now under construction is slated to start production in the summer to replace a plant wrecked in an explosion last year.
The new plant is under construction 20 hours a day, six days a week at the Phillips Houston Chemical Complex near Pasadena, said a news release from the company’s headquarters in Bartlesville, Okla.
