A police task force focusing on males soliciting females for prostitution arrested 63 people in Pacoima and Sun Valley over the weekend.
Los Angeles police Sgt. William Yarbrough said the task force was formed after Pacoima and Sun Valley residents complained of prostitution in their area.
Yarbrough said 62 people were arrested on suspicion of solicitation of prostitution and one on suspicion of possession of narcotics on Friday and Saturday nights. Those arrested were either held in the Foothill area jail in Pacoima or issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.
