ORANGE : Child-Care Program to Charge Full Fees
- Share via
Parents who need part-time day care of their children will have to pay full-time fees to use the program sponsored by Orange Unified School District for the 1990-91 school year.
The new tuition rule, requiring all students to pay full fees, was initiated to bring the program out of debt. This year, more than 60% of the students are part time and pay reduced fees, creating a financial crunch for the program.
The district’s program originally provided only full-time child care for working parents. Later, in response to community need, it expanded to include part-time care.
Monthly full-time fees for the coming school year will be $220 for kindergarten; $160 for grades one through three; and $140 for grades four through six. Day care before school hours costs $40 extra per month.
