Camarillo Pitcher Merrill Off Squad

Camarillo High baseball Coach Jack Willard said Tuesday that Tajah Merrill, the Scorpions’ No. 2 starting pitcher, has left the team because of personal reasons.
Merrill, a junior left-hander who was 2-1 with an 0.91 earned-run average, did not attend Camarillo’s doubleheader loss to Rio Mesa on Saturday.
“I haven’t talked to him, but he did turn in his uniform,” Willard said.
