$4.5-Million L.A. Festival: The Los Angeles Festival has committed itself to a $4.5-million arts festival in September, even though only $3.5 million in funds has been raised. About a dozen more performers and groups have been added since the festival’s first programming announcement in February. The additions will be announced after May 26 when festival director Peter Sellars returns from Glyndebourne, England, where he is directing the opera “The Magic Flute.” Sellars has been away from the festival since mid-April.
