Campaigns of Feinstein and Van de Kamp
During the debate, Van de Kamp said he would release a comprehensive list of budget cuts and tax increases. Does the Van de Kamp camp realize that the word taxes is a no-no in this era of fees, tolls, tariffs, surcharges and government by euphemism; that the T-word is practically banned in the D.C. Beltway?
Van de Kamp suffers innate integrity as epitomized by his declaration that statewide offices should have two-term limits. This won him few friends and many of the other kind who greedily cling to perpetual power, both in Sacramento and Los Angeles, because Van de Kamp dares to be true.
