High School Baseball Semifinal Pairings Set

Marina High School will meet top-seeded Westlake in the semifinals of the Southern Section 5-A baseball playoffs at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Blair Field in Long Beach.

Tustin, the top-seeded team in 3-A, will travel to Victor Valley College to play Hesperia. Orange will play host to La Serna at Rancho Santiago College in the other 3-A semifinal.

In the 4-A, Troy will travel to Cal Poly Pomona to meet third-seeded South Hills. Troy is attempting to reach the championship game for the second time in four years.

The semifinal pairings on Tuesday, with all games beginning at 3:15 p.m. unless indicated:

5-A Division Westlake (28-1) vs. Marina (15-12-1) at Blair Field, 4 p.m.; West Covina (20-6) vs. Diamond Bar (20-8) at Blair Field, 7 p.m.

4-A Division Troy (17-9) vs. South Hills (23-5) at Cal Poly Pomona.

3-A Division Tustin (25-3) vs. Hesperia (19-8) at Victor Valley College; La Serna (26-5) vs. Orange (18-10) at Rancho Santiago College.
