Freeway Repairs Announced

Caltrans advises motorists that it plans the following freeway work in the Southeast / Long Beach area this week. Repair locations listed below are spotted on the map by number, with the gray-toned area indicating the site of a moving closure Tuesday (see 7 below).

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Cerritos: Westbound No. 2 lane; Westbound (91) Artesia Freeway connector to northbound (605) San Gabriel Freeway; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; electrical repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

2. Commerce: Southbound No. 1 lane; (5) Santa Ana Freeway interchange to Washington Boulevard; Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; jersey wall repair.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

3. Carson: Southbound No. 4 lane; Carson Street to Wilmington Avenue and Wilmington Avenue off-ramp; Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; crack sealing repair.

4. Carson: Northbound No. 4 lane; Dominguez Channel to Carson Street and Carson Street off-ramp; Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; crack sealing repair.

5. Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 lane at 223rd Street overhead; Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; bridge repair.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

6. Cerritos: Northbound (605) San Gabriel Freeway connector to Westbound (91) Artesia Freeway; Sunday, 6 to 10 a.m.; electrical repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

7. Various Cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes; Artesia Boulevard to Indiana Street (moving closure); Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; sweeping.

8. Commerce / East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 4 lane; Ditman Avenue on-ramp to southbound (710) Long Beach Freeway at Triggs Street and Olympic Boulevard off-ramp; Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; landscaping.

LAKEWOOD BOULEVARD (19)

9. Bellflower: Northbound and southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes; Artesia Boulevard to Compton Boulevard; Sunday, 6 a.m. to noon; stenciling.

WHITTIER BOULEVARD (72)

10. Pico Rivera: Westbound lanes (varied) at Rosemead Boulevard; Thursday, noon to 1 p.m.; stenciling.
