Jet Hits Glider; 1 Dead

BONN — A U.S. Air Force jet fighter collided in the air Tuesday with a glider, and the pilot of the glider was killed, police said. The F-16 fighter jet returned safely to base, the Air Force said.
The accident occurred near Unkenbach, about 60 miles southwest of Frankfurt, the Air Force said. No further information was available.
