THOUSAND OAKS : 4 Are Injured in Hit-Run Accident

A tractor-trailer hit a car carrying four people on the northbound Ventura Freeway on Friday and then fled the scene, leaving the four with minor injuries, officials said.
Latasha Boyd, 18, of Thousand Oaks was driving north on Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks about noon when the truck began tailgating her in the slow lane, said Dirk Snyder, a communications operator for the California Highway Patrol.
The green truck shifted lanes to overtake Boyd’s car. But as the truck went back into the slow lane, it hit Boyd’s car, which overturned, officials said.
CHP officers have been alerted to watch for the truck.
The four were treated at Westlake Medical Center and released.
