Mail-Order Deal for Carnation: The Los Angeles-based firm has entered into an arrangement with SmartPets Inc. to market Carnation’s Perform brand pet foods. SmartPets is a Danvers, Mass.-based specialty retailer of diversified pet products, which it markets nationwide through its Animail mail-order catalogues.
