Motion Picture Distribution Firm Formed: Robert M. Cheren, former president of marketing and distribution at Orion Pictures and New World Pictures, and Jonathan A. Wolf, former chief financial officer of New World Entertainment’s international operations, have formed a motion picture distribution firm that plans to release 12 to 16 films a year. Cheren said his Studio Three Film Corp. will acquire finished films outright or distribute the movies worldwide through a variety of arrangements, including negative pickups, partial investments, prints and advertising funding and other approaches. Cheren and Wolf said the company will not option scripts or create in-house film projects.
