Semco Instruments’ 6-Month Profits Rise 53%

Semco Instruments Inc., a Valencia producer of sensors and electronic controls, said its profit in the first half of 1990 jumped 53% from a year earlier on a 66% increase in sales.
In the six months that ended June 30, Semco’s net income rose to $250,735 from $164,263 a year earlier, and its sales climbed to $3.11 million from $1.87 million.
Semco attributed the gains to increased marketing and sales efforts over the past several years.
