McDonnell Picks Executive to Run Non-Aerospace Units

McDonnell Douglas Space Systems’ top executive has been promoted to oversee its parent company’s non-aerospace operations.
Jim Dorrenbacher, formerly president of the Space Systems unit, was named senior vice president-group executive over non-aerospace operations. He will replace James T. McMillan, who will retire on Aug. 31.
Kenneth A. Francis, formerly executive vice president of Space Systems, will be the new president of the Huntington Beach-based company, effective Sept. 1.
Dorrenbacher, who will move to the parent company’s headquarters in St. Louis, will oversee McDonnell Douglas Financial Services Corp., McDonnell Douglas Realty Co., McDonnell Douglas Travel Co., McDonnell Douglas Systems Integration Co. and McDonnell Douglas Information Systems International.
