Glenn Carson’s one-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday knocked in the deciding run in Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks’ come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over Culver City in the championship game of the Babe Ruth state baseball tournament at Culver City Park.
Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks advances to the eight-team Pacific Southwest regional in Elko, Nev., which begins Friday.
