Columbia Studios will present to the public renovation plans for its 46-acre studio lot in Culver City.
The site, formerly the MGM Studios, is at Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue. The master plan for the lot is subject to review by the Culver City Planning Commission, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency. The process is expected to take at least one year, city officials said. Aesthetics, parking, impacts on traffic and other criteria are included in the evaluation.
Columbia has undertaken some interim improvements, including painting, landscaping and adding parking.
The plan will be unveiled Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at Stage 30 of the studio lot. Parking is available in the parking structure on the east side of Overland Avenue just south of Washington Boulevard.
