Nu-Med Reports Loss Narrowed In Quarter

Nu-Med Inc., an Encino operator of health-care facilities, said it lost $1.92 million in its fiscal fourth quarter, compared with a year-earlier loss of $8.45 million.
The narrower loss in the latest quarter that ended April 30 came on a decline in Nu-Med’s revenue to $67.3 million from $74.4 million. Nu-Med said the reduced loss reflected cost controls and increased use of its facilities.
For its full fiscal year, Nu-Med lost $7.26 million compared with a loss of $10.1 million the previous year, and its annual revenue climbed to $278 million from $270.6 million.
