NAMES IN THE NEWS : Rolle Remains in Intensive Care

LAS VEGAS — Actress Esther Rolle remained in serious but stable condition today at the hospital where she is being treated for injuries suffered in a car crash Sunday.
Rolle, 69, remained in the intensive care unit of University Medical Center. She suffered cuts of the head and face, fractured ribs and a bruised heart.
Rolle’s credits include the television series “Good Times” and the movie “Driving Miss Daisy.”
She was a passenger in a car that rolled over on Interstate 15 near the California border, killing the driver, Paulene Hopkins, 70, of Marshall, Tex.
