Home Shopping: If you can’t go to the store, the store will come to you. That’s the novel idea behind the new Episode designer women’s clothing store opening next month at South Coast Plaza.
The store’s sales employees visit clients at home. They will also open the store by special appointment for customers unable to make it during regular hours. And the store will deliver packages to out-of-town shoppers at their hotels.
Store officials say the special services are free of charge.
“We want (the customer’s) shopping experience to be enjoyable and will do whatever it takes for that to happen,” said Marian McCarthy, a vice president of the 25-store chain. “We’ll even call the taxi or make dinner reservations for our customers.”
