SNAILS’ FACE: When the new John Wayne Airport terminal opens Sept. 16, check out the stonework. It turns out that much of the imported West German marble contains fossils of various mollusks from the Jurassic period, more than 100 million years old. The imprints of shell formations are visible throughout the terminal--”if you know what you’re looking for,” a spokesman says.
