San Diego Charger General Manager Bobby Beathard told top draft choice Junior Seau to accept the team’s latest offer within 24 hours or face progressive cuts in the contract’s value.
Beathard gave Seau, a linebacker from USC, until 5 p.m. today to make a decision.
San Diego’s previous offer called for an average annual salary of $850,000 over five years.
