The dead men, all residents of the Lake Elsinore area, are Dennis Whittaker, 30, Lonnie Besneatte, 41, and John H. Stewart, age unknown. All died from multiple gunshot wounds. Heinz Podszuweit, 30, is being held on three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder stemming from injuries two sheriff’s deputies suffered during the standoff early this week.
