Albertson’s Inc.: The supermarket chain said second-quarter net profit totaled $52.9 million, up 16% from the year-ago period. Revenue rose 14% to a record $2.1 billion. The Boise, Ida., firm said same-store sales increased 8%. Last year’s results included an 11 1/2-week strike at 34 Seattle-area stores.
