Pakistan to Help Citizens in Kuwait

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — This country will send food and medicines to its nationals in Kuwait and Iraq but will not attempt to break U.N. economic sanctions, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday.
The first consignment of 20 to 25 metric tons will be flown to Amman, the Jordanian capital, within two days to be transported by road to Iraq to meet the urgent needs of diplomats and other Pakistanis, he said.
“This is not aimed at breaking the sanctions. This will be sent as a diplomatic consignment,” the spokesman said.
