Paul Schaeffer has been named executive vice president-corporate affairs for Columbia Pictures Entertainment Co. Schaeffer’s duties will include corporate and strategic planning, and development of the Columbia Studios lot in Culver City. Schaeffer, an entertainment attorney, comes to Columbia from the firm of Armstrong & Hirsch, where he specialized in corporate law. His former clients include Jon Peters and Peter Guber, who now serve as co-chairmen of Columbia.
