Sex Quarrel Dooms ‘Model Couple’

PARIS — A French postal worker strangled his wife after she accused him of sexual inadequacy, cut her into pieces and put them in the family freezer, police said today.
They charged Patrice Berne, 28, with murdering his wife, Nicole, 26.
Neighbors said they had appeared in 1988 on a television program about model married couples.
The remains were discovered this week when police investigated her disappearance three months ago.
