Tennis Event Set for Warner Center

Several of the top NCAA Division I tennis players will compete in the inaugural West Coast Fall Men’s Championships at Warner Center Club in Woodland Hills from Oct. 3-7 .
Cal’s Bent-Ove Petersen, Michigan’s David Kass and David Decret of UC Santa Barbara are three of the 16 players who received direct entry into the 32-man championship draw.
Petersen, of Oslo, finished the 1990 season ranked 18th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Coaches’ Assn. rankings. Kass, a steady backcourt player wound up 19th and Decret, a sophomore from Paris, finished 29th.
