Kings Lose to Canucks on Kron Goal

VANCOUVER, Canada — Robert Kron scored a power-play goal midway through the third period to give the Vancouver Canucks a 4-3 victory over the Kings in an NHL exhibition Thursday night.
Kron jammed a shot past King goaltender Kelly Hrudey at 9:28 of the third period after a penalty to Luc Robitaille. It was the first point in five exhibitions for Kron, a newcomer from Czechoslovakia.
The Kings (5-4) got goals from rookie Francois Breault, Scott Bjugstad and Tony Granato before 13,205 fans. The Kings outshot the Canucks, 29-27.
Dave Capuano, Steve Bozek and Jyrki Lumme scored the other Vancouver goals to improve the Canucks’ exhibition record to 2-4-2. Lumme also assisted on two goals.
