La Canada 41, Hoover 17--Hoover committed four first-half turnovers to help La Canada forge a 35-0 halftime lead at Glendale High.
La Canada quarterback Chris Plamann had a sensational first half, completing seven of 15 passes for 164 yards and four touchdowns.
Hoover quarterback Rene Gabri completed eight ot 18 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions. Walter Ulloa had three receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown for Hoover (2-3), and teammate Chris Kalaleh had three catches for 46 yards. Ara Balkian gained 61 yards in 11 carries for Hoover.
