SUNSET LEAGUE : Senteno Helps Westminster to a 14-0 Victory

WESTMINSTER — Vance Senteno’s offensive and defensive play in the fourth quarter gave Westminster High School a 14-0 win over Marina Friday night in a Sunset League game at Westminster.
Senteno intercepted Marina quarterback Cristin McLemore to give Westminster (2-3 overall, 1-0 in league) possession at the Marina 14-yard line with 5 minutes 1 second remaining in the fourth quarter.
Six plays later, Senteno scored on a four-yard run with 2:09 to play. Ken Scott’s point-after kick gave the Lions a 14-0 lead.
Marina’s Mike Johnston fell short on a 42-yard field-goal attempt with 2:29 left in the second quarter.
Westminster took over at its 20 and drove to the Marina 10. With 19 seconds left in the quarter, Enrique Gonzalez gave the Lions a 7-0 lead on a 10-yard pass from Matt Bailey.
