EEOC Files Suit Against Southwest Airlines: The class-action suit, filed late last week in U.S. District Court in Texas, charges that the carrier discriminated against pilot applicants 45 and older by failing to hire them because of their age. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s complaint seeks an award that includes back pay, interest and damages.
