49ers Basketball Team to Practice at Midnight

The Cal State Long Beach men’s basketball team will open practice under new Coach Seth Greenberg at midnight Sunday in the university gym. Monday is the first day the NCAA permits teams to practice.
“This is something a little different for our fans, but we expect this year to be different in many ways,” Greenberg said.
The practice will include slam-dunk and 3-point shooting contests and a scrimmage. Snacks and soft drinks will be served at 11 p.m.
