The Saddleback Valley Unified School District on Wednesday broke ground for an athletic complex at Trabuco Hills High School.
The $4.9-million complex, to be built with state and developer funds, will include a 5,000-seat football stadium, a 25-meter swimming pool, an all-weather track and eight lighted tennis courts.
The district’s four high schools currently use sports facilities at Mission Viejo High School. When the project is completed next fall, both El Toro and Trabuco Hills will use the facility for home football games and other activities, board President Dore John Gilbert said.
