Ban on Barbecue Lighter Fluid
I find it hard to believe that we have to wait until 1992 for a complete ban of charcoal lighter fluids only in Southern California. This banning of lighter fluids is a very small step in the protection of our Earth, but it must be done. It should be done now, not in 1992.
Our family stopped using lighter fluid a year ago. We now use a special container with holes in it and an attached handle for starting our charcoal. It works great with just a little newspaper and without chemicals. The one-time cost for the unit was $14. Charcoal lighter fluid is only a very minor part of our pollution problem. We must eventually stop all of the poisoning of our planet. We are a nation of people who care about the future life of our planet and we are ready to do what it takes.
