NATION IN BRIEF : NEW YORK : Jogger’s Sex Life Is Issue in Second Trial

A dispute over whether to grill the Central Park jogger about her sex life could result in a mistrial in the rape case, a defense lawyer said. Lawyers for Kharey Wise, 18, and Kevin Richardson, 16, told reporters they have drastically different intentions about questioning the woman who was attacked on April 19, 1989. Wise’s attorney said he hopes to prove the jogger had a sexual tryst at her apartment before jogging. Richardson’s lawyer said cross-examining her on that point would be so detrimental to his client’s case that he might move for a mistrial.
