Body of Baby Found

The body of an infant was found wrapped in a blanket in East San Diego on Friday, police said.
Police found the body after receiving a call from a resident who had spotted it in the 4000 block of 44th Street, lying atop a trash bin in an alley behind a convenience store.
Police believe the infant may have been newborn. They are investigating, said Sgt. Chuck Peck of the San Diego Police Department said.
