Pasadena 33, Hoover 17--Three Hoover fumbles and powerful Pasadena rushing, led by Mario Gulley’s 181 yards in 12 carries, beat the Tornadoes (2-4, 0-1) at Glendale High. Gulley scored on runs of 26 and 85 yards and teammate Jhayson Hall gained 71 yards in nine carries.

Hoover’s David Bronner kicked a 57-yard field goal, but a Pasadena encroachment penalty before the snap nullified the kick. Bronner followed with a successful 52-yard kick.
