Lakewood : Women Legislators to Be at ‘90s Leadership Conference

Rep. Barbara Boxer (D-Greenbrae) and state Sen. Diane Watson (D-Los Angeles) will be among a group of panelists appearing at the “Women Leaders: Facing the Challenges of the ‘90s” conference Friday in Lakewood.
Kathleen Brown, candidate for state treasurer, and La Habra Heights City Councilwoman Judy Hathaway also will speak.
“This event will provide a forum for these inspirational, accomplished women to encourage local women to seek positions of leadership and make an impact on their communities,” said state Sen. Cecil N. Green (D-Norwalk).
Green is the host of the 8 a.m. conference at the Center at Sycamore Plaza, 5000 Clark Ave. Registration costs $20.
