SANTA ANA — Ryan McEvoy passed for 212 yards Friday night as Costa Mesa High School easily defeated Pacific Coast League rival Century, 21-6, at Santa Ana Stadium.
In the first quarter, the Centurions were on their own 29 when quarterback Rick Odoardi (five of nine for 177 yards) was intercepted by David Phillips. McEvoy pulled off a quarterback sneak for 17 yards, which set up Jermaine Jackson’s 12-yard run into the end zone.
In the third quarter, with the Centurions leading, 6-0, Jackson (12 carries, 68 yards) scored again, running 11 yards. A pass from McEvoy to Quoc Pham (eight receptions, 64 yards) gave the Centurions a two-point conversion.
