Bradbury : Contract Deadline Extended

National Environmental Waste Co. has agreed to Bradbury’s request for a 60-day extension of the Nov. 1 deadline for city approval of a new, costlier waste disposal contract.
The company has asked for a 19% overall increase in rates that range from $7.35 a month for a single can curbside to as much as $220 a collection for large dumpsters on ranches of up to 20 acres.
City Council members have scheduled a special meeting Nov. 8 to study the new contract.
