OOPS: The Laguna Beach Taxpayer’s Assn. opposes a tax to buy and preserve undeveloped Laguna Canyon, so why is it contributing to the Save the Canyon fund? Answer: It didn’t know it was. . . . All the group did was take out ads in the weekly Coast Line News. But the newspaper has pledged to donate 10% of its display ad revenue in September, October and November for canyon preservation in the name of each advertiser. . . . “It’s their money now,” shrugs taxpayer’s vice president Art Casebeer. “They can do what they want with it, I guess.”
